An inviting summer corner does not require a matching set of furniture. Begin with a comfortable chair in a place you enjoy, then add a small table within easy reach.
Bring out a cushion or light throw if it suits the space. Choose items intended for outdoor use when they will be exposed to weather, and plan where to store them when they are not needed. A pitcher and glasses can make a quiet afternoon feel like a small occasion.
Before buying a large piece, measure the space and the route it must travel to get there. Try rearranging what you already own first. The goal is somewhere you will actually sit, read, and welcome a friend—not another corner that looks lovely but goes unused.
Know someone who would enjoy this?
