Purple offers more possibilities than a single dramatic shade. There is soft lavender, warm plum, deep aubergine, and everything between. Try a few tones near your face in daylight to see which ones you enjoy.
Begin with one piece rather than a complete outfit. A purple top can work with familiar trousers; a patterned scarf can introduce the color more quietly. If you already own a bold dress, keep the bag and shoes simple and let the dress lead.
Comfort matters as much as color. Sit, move, and check how the fabric feels before making a decision. There is no need to vote purple in or out for an entire season. Keep the shade that feels like you and wear it when the mood strikes.
